Gladys Irene Hamilton

Gladys Irene Hamilton, 89, of Lonoke, passed away on November 23, 2015. She was born on March 14, 1926 in Grenada, Mississippi to the late Henry and Mary Ellen (Howard) Ashmore. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charlie Hamilton, five brothers and two sisters. Gladys was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Lonoke, member of Eastern Star, and retired from the Westinghouse Corporation. Survivors include two sons; J.D. Hodges and wife, Mabel, of Grenada, Miss., Henry Hodges, and wife, Sandra of Lonoke, four grandchildren; Jamie Taber, Danny Hodges, Michelle Hughes, David Hodges, nine great-grandchildren, step children; Mary Alice Henry, and husband, Joe, Jimmy Hamilton, and wife, Ruth, Tina Sanford, three step grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Eastside Baptist Church in Lonoke with Bro. Woody Evans officiating. Entombment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. A visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory.
