She left this area to live her military life in 1946. She spent three and one-half years in Paris, France. While in France she made an effort to learn as much as possible about the culture of the native people. She later went to live 23 years in Washington D.C. and then North Little Rock, where she retired from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission in 1984. In 1986 she met and married William (Bill) Fuller. She is survived by two nephews; Jim Bryant and John Fuller; three grandnieces; Pam Nacke, Denise Benight and Jill Bryant and a host of friends including best friend Ginger Beene. She loved southern Gospel music. She played the piano in church for her father who led the choir. She especially loved her family and close friends. She also loved to cook, crochet and knit. She was quite well known for her fried pies and molasses cookies. She was known by many who knew her (both old & young) as "Ms Jonnie" or "Aunt Jonnie." One of her more often repeated quote was "It's not where you came from, it's whom you've become."
