Sidney Bessent

Sidney DeBarry Bessent, age 81 of Alexander, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 28, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospice. He was born February 18, 1934 in Belle Glade, Florida; and he was the son of Lawrence Dow Bessent and Ellen Bea Dur. Mr. Bessent was a retired truck driver. He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Ellen Bessent. Survivors include his wife, Mary Bessent; daughter, Susan Waite and husband Nathan; a son, Lawrence Bessent; daughter, Sheila Caviness and husband Sammy; a son, Tony Bessent and wife Joni; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Cody Drye, Tyler and Jaci Bessent, Colton Caviness and Sydney and Taylor Bessent; and one great-grandchild, Hayley Drye. Graveside Services will be held at 10 a.m., October 3, 2015 at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Alexander.
