Janet Louise Dougherty

JANET LOUISE DOUGHERTY, age 76, of Jacksonville passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015. She was born Jan. 19, 1939 on Trenton, N.J. to the late Frank William McClintock and Marguerite Pauline McClintock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Jean Hubscher. Ms. Dougherty earned a Master's Degree in Nursing from UCA and was a member of the National Honors Society. She taught nursing at Baptist School of Nursing for 26 years. She was a world traveler, certified scuba diver, quilter, seamstress, gardener, music lover, pianist and she also played the accordion. Ms. Dougherty was also a volunteer for the Jacksonville ladies auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Katherine Fischer, Carl Fischer, Craig Fischer; four grandchildren, Clay Caple, Ian Gaebel both of Jacksonville, Levi Fischer, and Brittany Fischer both of Ozark, Mo., one niece and four nephews.
