THOMAS CLINTON SWAFFORD II, born Sept. 13, 1944 near Spring City, Tenn. to the late Thomas and Inez Swafford, passed away on Saturday Sept. 26, 2015 in Little Rock. He served in the United States Navy before earning a BA in Music from the University of Arkansas, and later earned a nursing degree from UALR. Survived by his sons Stefan Swafford, Erik Swafford, and Christopher Swafford; sisters Nancy Swafford of Great Bend, Kan. and Betsy (Swafford) Johnson of Oakley, Kan. Memorials may be made to Geyer Springs United Methodist Church (where he was a member), the Humane Society of Pulaski County (14600 Colonel Road, Little Rock, Ark., 72210), or the Wounded Warrior Project. Graveside memorial service at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday Oct. 6, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation on Monday, Oct. 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Geyer Springs United Methodist Church, 5500 Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock.
