Leonard DuBoise Holland, Sr., 90, of Little Rock, departed this life on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Leonard's devoted wife and life-long best friend, Gladys Montgomery Holland, also remains to treasure the beautiful life they shared together. From their union, six children were born: Leonard Holland, Jr., Plano, TexasX; Rosalind Gillam (Phillip), Little Rock, Ark.; Robin Holland, Rockwall, Texas; Andrew Holland, Malvern, Ark.; and Richard Holland, Little Rock, Ark.; and also two daughters, Ella Mae Henyard (Jesse), Chicago, Ill., and Vickie Parker (Kenneth), Little Rock. Born in Pottsville, Ark., Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mazie Sudduth Holland; and infant son, Robert J. Holland; three brothers, Edward Holland, Limuel Holland, and Stanley Holland; and a sister, Verlene Dunlap. Other surviving relatives include Bernice Pearson and Mary Tucker of Little Rock, Ark.; Ernestine Jones of Gary, Ind., Robert Holland, Jr. (Thelma), Helen Wimbush, and Bettie Johnson, all of Tulsa, Okla. He also leaves to cherish his memory, fifteen grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and a loving extended family of nieces and nephews. Leonard's life will be tenderly remembered as one filled with deep love and care for his family, a joyful spirit of youthful energy, and steadfast service to the Lord. He was a faithful member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2501 Main Street, Little Rock, Ark. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2501 S. Main Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 2801 Asher Ave. Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 South Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305.
