Betty Sue Brown

Betty Sue Brown, age 76, of Calmer died Monday, October 5, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Brown was born June 19, 1939 in Knox City, Texas, a daughter of the late John Luther Hobbs and Lela Neal Hobbs. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, farming and spending time with her family. Mrs. Brown was a loving Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown; daughter, Melody Brown and brother, Kenneth Hobbs. Survivors include her sons, King Brown of Lander, Wyoming, Kevin Brown and Connie of Richmond, Texas, Kraig Brown and Chaille of Palmyra, Kirk Brown and Chelli Brock of Calmer; brother, Lonnie Hobbs and Janet of Austin, Texas; sister, Helen Blankenship of Lakeway, Texas; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Friendship Cemetery in Woodlawn with Brother Charles Woolley officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Buie Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
