James M. Holland

James M. Holland, age 90, of Crossett, Ark. passed away on October 7, 2015. He was born on October 18, 1924 in Warren, AR to his parents, Joe Wilson and Myrtice Jeffers Holland. Mr. Holland was an Army Veteran having served in WWII and retired from Georgia Pacific. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed his time with the Men's Fellowship Breakfast Group. Mr. Holland was a member of North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Wheat Holland; a son, Jimmy Holland; two brothers, Bud Holland, Joe Richard Holland and a sister, Charlene Ogden. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Guin Holland of Crossett, Ark.; one daughter, Carol Holland Rowe (Bill) of Bella Vista, Ark.; a sister, Jessie Faye Farmer of Crossett, Ark.; four grandchildren, Melissa Britt, Anna Osborn, James Easton Rowe, Hope Rowe; three step-sons, Freddie Guin (Luanne), Mike Guin (Sharry), Mark Guin (Lisa); a stepdaughter, Rita Trussell (Gary);, step-grandchildren, Leigh Carney, Lacey Guin, John Guin, Rickey Guin, Amanda Gulledge, Garrett Trussell, Staci Stephenson, Shawn Guin, Jessi Pack, Brooke Pippen; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday at North Crossett First Free Will Baptist Church.
