Lowell David Roberts

Lowell David Roberts, 83, died May 12, 2015 in Cleveland, Ga. Lowell was born in Morrilton, Ark. on May 25, 1931 to the late Leighton Lee Roberts and Mildred Croom Roberts. Lowell graduated Morrilton High School in 1949, attended Arkansas Tech in Russellville, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and graduated University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, with a degree in agriculture. He was employed with Ralston-Purina for 23 years in Louisiana, Florida and Georgia. He was with American General Insurance for 10 years retiring early because of ill health. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Kathleen Barrow and his sister, Patricia Ann Collins. He is survived by his wife, Jan Pollard Roberts of Cleveland, Ga.; his sons, Steven, Dale and Hunter Roberts; his daughters, Debra Roberts of Florida and Morgan Roberts of Georgia; his stepson, James Gilbert of Alabama and stepdaughter, Cheree Gilbert of Georgia; his sister Wanda R. Smith (Doyle) of Little Rock, and brother Lindell Roberts (Marie) of Morrilton; and 11 grandchildren. VA marker arrangements by Harris Funeral Home, Morrilton.
