Christine E. Rowe, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away October 8, 2015. She was born March 30, 1927, in Hot Springs to the late Henry Lee and Emma Mae (Priddy) Abbott. Christine was a graduate of Levi Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital for 42 years. She was a lifelong member of Pullman Heights United Methodist Church where she served on the administrative board. Christine loved to read mysteries, complete puzzles, and travel all over the world in her retirement years. Of all of her travels her favorite place was Versailles in Paris, France. Christine married her true love Roye Argus Rowe on May 28, 1948. They remained together 58 years until his death, November 11, 2006. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mitchell Abbott and sister, Fannie Sue Sims. Survivors include her daughters; Gwen Magyar of Maitland, Florida, Gail McKee (Ken) of Hot Springs, Greta Creekmore (William Lawson) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; godson, Nick Stewart; grandchildren, Jesse Peak (Josh), Kate Creekmore-Deckard (Tim), Morgan Creekmore, all of Tulsa; great-grandchildren, Rhett, Jude, and Blair Peak, Cannon Knoten, and Daxton Deckard. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Grigsby.
