Gary Wilson Ford

Gary Wilson Ford, age 71, of Ward, Ark., passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. He was born Sept. 30, 1944 in Southgate, Calif. to Wyatt W. and Lois L. Ford. He graduated from Vilonia High School and later served in the US Army. Gary was a machine set-up/operator and worked at Franklin Electric Co and then Vertec, both in Jacksonville, Ark. As a result of his carefully combed waves, he was often referred to as "Fonzie" by his co-workers and friends. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and was an avid western movie fan. Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Ann Hardin Ford and his children: Sherry Fraley, Shela Burnside (Mike), Chris Waters (Terrie), and Melody Lusk (Kevin); his grandchildren: Dustin Misner (Valeria), DeAnna Misner, Ariel Brown (Jason), Corinna Gil (Julio), Jesse Burnside (Lucia), Jacob Burnside, Aaron Burnside, Andrew (AJ) Waters, Cynthia Waters, Vincent Marquez (Sarah), Charlene Marquez, Beau Marquez, Ian Marquez, Benjamin Lusk; and his great-grandchildren: Rosealee, Elina, Noah, Lydia, Gage, Leo, Anabella, Amuli, Gabriel, Xander, and Dominique. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015 at Summit Cemetery in Benton with military honors. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home & Crematory, (501) 982-2136.
