Robert Lee Lewis

Robert Lee Lewis, ( MSGT Ret.), 78, of Cabot, died October 10, 2015. He was born on February 11, 1937 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to the late Milton Charles and Arlene Ruth (Swamer) Lewis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Frederica Dillman. Robert retired from the United States Air Force in 1980. He was a member of the Lionel Collectors Club of America, Ward Lions Club, and American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Taylor) Lewis of the home, four children; Randal E. Lewis (Vicki) of Woodbridge, Va., Suzanne M. Byerly (Perry) of Knob Noster, Mo., Matthew C. Lewis (Stephanie) of Suwanee, Ga., Stephanie R. Lewis of Cabot, nine grandchildren; Emily Cloe, Sarah Turner, Elizabeth Lewis, Elaine Lewis, Crystal Hughes, James Byerly, Tim Byerly, Grace Lewis, Abigail Lewis, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers; Milton Charles Lewis Jr. (Pat), Charles Lewis (Pat), all of Appleton, Wis. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Jacksonville, Ark. with Bishop Justin Rigby, Elder Randal E. Lewis and Elder John Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home and Crematory (501) 982-2136. Selected hymns at the visitation will be played on double bass by Grace Lewis. Special music will be played by Mountain View musicians; Mary Parker on fiddle and Kailee Spickes on guitar.
