Jerry Wayne Stroud, 69, of Mayflower, went to be with the Lord on October 13, 2015 after a yearlong struggle with an aggressive cancer. Jerry was born February 24, 1946 to Olen and Verda Stroud in Gurdon, Arkansas. Jerry was a Godly man, loving Father and Grandfather. He was in the 1964 graduating class of North Little Rock High School. His career centered on the purchase and sale of bulk fertilizer to Farmer Co-ops. He retired from his fulltime position at Land O'Lakes in 2011 but continued to work part-time until his death. He cherished his relationships with his customers and considered each of them a close friend. Jerry loved the outdoors and everything it stood for. He enjoyed long-distance hiking, biking, white water rafting, zip-lines, traveling to remote locations, and gardening. He especially enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and friends at the family cabin in Curtis, Arkansas. Jerry is preceded in death by his father Olen Stroud, brother Philip Stroud, and sister Linda Stroud. Jerry is survived by his wife of 19 years, Gwen Stroud, of Mayflower, mother Verda Stroud, and sisters Barbara Hines and Beverly (Bob) Bilinsky; children: Jerry (Heather) Stroud, Kimberly (David) Solomon, Kenny Stroud. Grandchildren: Amanda Stroud, Skyla Stroud, Kenzie Stroud, Samantha Solomon, Ethan Stroud, Zack Knapp, Allyson Cunningham, and Avery Cunningham. Honorary Pallbearers include Jimmy Dodson and Ben Miller. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road, Little Rock, on Saturday, October 17th, beginning at 10 a.m. Arrangements by Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F.
