Antonette Marie Madru

ANTONETTE (DORIS) MARIE MADRU, 90, of Jacksonville, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. She was born Dec. 14, 1924 in Beloit, Wis. to the late Charles and Rosa LaRosa Angeleri. Mrs. Madru was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and the Eastern Star. She worked at the Classic Beauty Salon and started her own business in 1975. She raised horses and enjoyed fishing and square dancing. Mrs. Madru loved her land and loved to drive her tractor, mow her lawn and arrange flowers. She enjoyed being close to the Little Rock Air Force Base and she loved having her family home for dinner. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Madru was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Junior Madru; granddaughter, Stacy; grandson, Eddie; great-grandson, Noah; brother, Jay Angeleri; and sister, Isabella Forrest. Mrs. Madru is survived by her children: Shirley Madru Mark (Ken) of Kansas, Rose Madru Penkala of Jacksonville, Peggy Madru Smith (Jerry) of Jacksonville, Tom Madru of Benton, and Nancy Madru McClendon (Stan) of Texas; her sister, Jeannie Fredrickson of Jane, Wis.; 10 grandchildren: Kim, Kathy, Denise, Cristy, Crystal, Mike, Amy, Cynthia, Jerry Jr., Michael and Alyssa; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015 in the chapel of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
