Camelia Ann Andreae Kernodle

Camelia Ann Andreae Kernodle, 80, of Wynne, Ark., went to her heavenly home on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. She was born in North Little Rock on March 19, 1935 to the late Carl and Edith Andreae. Camelia was a 1953 graduate of Wynne High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Hendrix College in 1957. In July 1957, Camelia married Jere Kernodle. An active member of the Cross County Arts Council, Delta Kappa Gamma, P.E.O., Retired Teachers, United Methodist Women, and the Wynne Music Club, Camelia enjoyed the many years of friendships and service. Camelia taught public school in the Wynne School District for 23 years. She cherished the lives of the little children she was able to nurture and encourage. She was preceded in death by her parents: a brother, J.C. Andreae; and a sister, Carletta Grimmett. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Karen (Karl) Martin of Irving, Texas and Janet (Matt) Marshall, Little Rock; sons, Carl (Kim) Kernodle, Oak Park, Ill. and Glenn (Randi-Kaye) Kernodle, Cabot; grandchildren: Kameron and Kamille Martin, Garrison and Reece Marshall, Kody and Wyatt Kernodle, and Jayne and Carlee Kernodle; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William (Billy) Kernodle II and Phillis Kernodle, Wynne; and four nephews and four nieces. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Kernodle Funeral Home, Wynne. Burial at Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church-Wynne, Hendrix College, or to the Cross County Library.
