MARCELLA J. (BEALL) DYSON, 86, of Sherwood, Ark., departed this life on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dyson, Sr., (1984) and her grandson, Corey Dyson (2013). Marcella and Charles were married in 1949 and raised five children in the North Little Rock area. They lived a full and happy life. They owned and operated the Dyson Furniture Manufacturing Co. After retiring, they served as pastor of the Levy (Pershing) Pentecostal Church. Marcella lived for her family. The Christmas season was the joy of her life when all the kids and grandkids came home to celebrate. She was so happy when cooking big breakfasts and dinners for all of them. The extended Beall family was also an important part of her life. Singing with her sisters continued throughout her lifetime, as well as countless happy hours of quilting and dinners together. Marcella faithfully attended the Apostolic Church of North Little Rock. After receiving the Pentecostal experience of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost as a young woman, she became a Christian in its truest form. She served her generation, never thinking in terms of what was best for her, but rather what was best for others. Those who knew her were touched by her kind and giving spirit. There was no guile found in her. In her last days, there was an endless stream of people coming to show their love and appreciation for her kindness. Marcella leaves to mourn her departure: children: Charles and Linda Dyson, Jr. of Jacksonville, AR; Rev. Rod and Nan Pamer of Barberton, Ohio; Kenneth and Camie Dyson of Sherwood; Rev. Stan and Marlene Gleason of Lee's Summit, Mo.; Kim and Mary Dyson of Cabot, Ark. There are 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Extended Family: four sisters: Mary (Bob) McGee, Melba Molberg, Margie (Kenneth) Tackett, Alca Best, and her brother's wife, Juanita Beall; from the Dyson family, Rev. Mervyn and Marilyn Miller of Florida, Paul and Carolyn Dyson. Also, she leaves a host of nieces and nephews; Church Family, Apostolic Church of North Little Rock, Ark. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m., followed by the funeral at 7 p.m. at the Apostolic Church, 4314 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. A family burial will be at Rest Hills Cemetery, Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, 9 a.m. Officiating her services will be Rev. Donnie Copeland, Rev. Stan Gleason, Rev. Rod Pamer, Rev. Paul Pamer, and Rev. Justin Gleason. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, (501) 224-2200. Mrs. Dyson's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
