"Bill" William John Waters, 87, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died Tuesday, October 20, 2015. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late William and Elizabeth Waters on June 10, 1928. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served as a police officer in Milwaukee for 32 years. He was a member of the American Legion for 60 years. He also was a member of the Scimatar Temple, Nomad Shrine Club, American Association of Lutherans, Retired Milwaukee Police Officers, Peace Officers Club of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Tripoli Shrine in Arkansas and the Henry Palmer Lodge in Wisconsin for 38 years. Bill served as an usher at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where he was a member. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn of the home; a son, David (Susan) Waters of Grafton, Wis.; daughters, Kathleen (Randy) Boeck of Port Washington, Wis. and Sandra (Gregory) Waters-Schuler of Madison, Wis.; step-son, Martin (Francis) Cieslik of Madison, Wis.; step-daughters, Susan (Thomas) Kelly of Vonore, TN, Jeanne Keiler of Omro, Wis. and Jeri (Robert) Zelke of Oshkosh, Wis.; a sister, Peggy R. Glander of Suring, Wis.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 West Hudson Road, Rogers, Arkansas at 2 p.m., October 26, 2015. Rev. Gordon Besel will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Care Fund, P.O. Box 219, Rogers, Arkansas 72757.
