Roy Gene Pickard

Roy Gene Pickard, 84, of Rogers, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born on June 28, 1931 in Muskogee, Okla. to Robert Bruce and Dorsie Jane (White) Pickard. Roy served in the United States Air Force for 20 years and retired in 1973. He attended Oklahoma State Technical School in Okmulgee, Okla. and was graduated in 1975. After moving to Rogers in 1979, he was employed with Wal-Mart and retired in 1991. Roy was a member of Rogers First Assembly of God church for 25 years. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Eunice Marie (Tarpley) Pickard of the home; sister, Wynema Webster of Warner, Okla.; children: David and wife, Lisa Pickard of Rogers, Cindy and husband, Tim Howk of Rogers, Donna and husband, Mike Shepherd of Rogers, Glenn and wife, Jennifer of Pea Ridge; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter, Jeannie Marie (Pickard) Watts; his parents; siblings: Kenneth Bales, Vernon Bales, L.J. Bales, Robert Pickard, Juanita Smith, and Charlotte Webb. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 on Tuesday at the Rogers First Assembly of God church.
