Gus F. Wilson, 86, of Rohwer, Ark. passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015. Mr. Wilson was born in Plainview, Arkansas on December 29, 1928 to the late J. C. and Thelma Wilson. After his mother's death, when he was 2 years old, he was raised by his momma, Jessie Wilson. He was a lifelong farmer and served as Deputy Sheriff for Desha County for several years. Mr. Wilson was a very dedicated family man. He loved his family and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Wilson loved to garden and spend time on his farm and at his shop. He was a member of Kelso Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, J.B. Wilson, Lewis Wilson, Don Wilson, and Ronnie Wilson; sisters, Pauline Lunsford and Joyce Hayes. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Louise Snow Wilson; son, Gus A. Wilson (Shelly) of Rohwer, Ark.; daughter, Joyce Ann White (Greg) of Star City, Ark.; brothers, Danny Wilson of McGehee, Ark., Steve Wilson of McGehee, Ark., and Charles Wilson of McArthur, Ark.; sisters, Virginia Snow of McGehee, Ark., Sue Moore of Reedsport, Ore., Delores Isom of Dallas, Texas, Hazel Pryor of Leesville, La., Virgie Owens of Monticello, Ark., Connie Terry of Hot Springs, Ark., and Sandy Patterson of Pickens, Ark.; grandchildren, Lindsey Akin (Clint), Haley White (John), Kendal Noble (Brent), Klaire Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Madelynn Wilson, Hunter Gentry, Dillon Gentry (Jordan), and London Kennedy. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Kelso Baptist Church in Rohwer, Ark. with Rev. Bob Courtney officiating. Burial will be at McArthur Cemetery in McArthur, Ark.
