Pat Evans, 81, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2015. She was born on June 21, 1934 in Walcott, Arkansas. Pat was greeted in heaven by her mom Essie, dad Willie Franklin "Bid" and brother, Argene May. After graduating from Greene County Tech in Paragould she went on to receive her Bachelor's degree in education and later earned her master's degree. Pat spent many years in the education field where she retired from Pulaski County Special School District as an Instructional Specialist. Pat loved sewing, quilting, and Razorback sports. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and Mamaw who always put her family before herself. Her and Charles spent many years traveling in their motorhome after retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, but most important she was a child of God. Today she is not suffering and is walking on streets of gold. Pat will be greatly missed by her husband of 62 years, Charles Evans. Also left with a broken heart are daughter Michelle Clark and her husband Gerald, son Chad Evans and wife Dena, grandchildren, Dustin and Chrissy Cole, Devin and Carolyn Cole, Chase, Rachel and Blair Evans. Pat also leaves brothers Dean and Jackie May along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Hutchins and Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Entombment will follow the service in Chapel Pines Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136. The family would like to thank Sheila Elliot for her loving care and support over the past year. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Pat to First Baptist Church, 401 North First Street, Jacksonville Ark. 72076. Please sign the online guestbook at www.mooresjacksonvillefuneralhome.com.
