Thomas Edward (Buddy) Crisco age 89, of Bismarck, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock. He was born May 5, 1926 to Tommy Lee and Bertie Davis Crisco. Buddy was the seventh of ten children. He grew up around Dalark and attended school at Sparkman. Buddy was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. He was the greeter there where he was affectionately known as "Mr. Buddy" by all who entered the church. He watched many toddlers grow up to become outstanding young adults. Buddy had been a deacon for fifty years and was granted a lifetime membership at Park Hill. When he was a junior in high school at the age of 17, he left school and joined the Navy and served his country during World War II serving in the South Pacific, Marshall Islands, Guam, Mary Anne Islands, British New Hebenies, Okinawa, Korea, China and the Philippines Buddy also served his country by serving two tours of duty during the Korean War. Buddy was an excellent athlete in all sports, especially in basketball. He learned to fly, loved to fish, hunt, golf and dance. During his working career he worked for Union National Bank in Little Rock, Cotton Belt Railroad in Pine Bluff, owned H & R Block offices and when he moved to Bismarck in 1983, he worked for eleven years as the Marshall at Degray Lake Golf Course with the volunteer group. While here he formed many lasting friendships with the golfers he came in contact with. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, his wife, Pauline Brandon Crisco and a daughter, Karen Favers. He is survived by a sister, Ruby Hill of Rowlette, Texas; his wife, Leona (Lea) Luzader Crisco; his daughter, Paula Bond (Jim) of White Hall; two granddaughters, Monica Garrick (Phillip) of Pine Bluff, Stacy St. John (Rick) of New Edinburg; two grandsons, Luke Gibbins and Josh Favers; step-son, Randy Ashcraft and step-granddaughter, Haley Ashcraft of North Richland Hills, Texas; step-grandson, Joe Bond of Pine Bluff; four great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, October 30th at the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Park Hill Baptist Church building fund. Online register is available at www.ruggleswilcox.com.
