Stephen W Tisdale

Stephen Woods Tisdale, 67, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died (October 25, 2015) in Springdale, Arkansas at the Circle of life Earlene Howard Hospice Home. Born June 2, 1948 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he was the son of Downing Woods and Joan Isom. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was married to Elizabeth Ann Pigeon Tisdale on December 28, 1976. Steve served in the Navy Vietnam war to August 26, 1965 - May 29, 1969 and in the Army Desert Storm war January 21, 1991 - September 2001. Steve worked as a police officer in Bentonville, Arkansas for a year, Siloam Springs, Arkansas for 13 years, Gentry, Arkansas for year and he was a retired truck driver. Steve was a longtime member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benjamin and Ellen (Mullen) Tisdale and parents, Downing and Joan Woods. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Tisdale; daughter, Stephanie Elaine Tisdale Woodruff of Wagoner, Oklahoma; son, Justin Buck Tisdale of Cave Springs, Arkansas and previous marriage Ronald Wayne Tisdale of Stringtown, Oklahoma; sister, Joyce Hulse of Lincoln, Arkansas; brothers, Danny Tisdale of Rogers, Arkansas and Gregory Dodds of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Family/Friends services will be held at the VFW in Siloam Springs, Arkansas from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, November 2, 2015 and the Memorial committal service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
