Carl L. Major

Carl L. Major, 79, of Rogers, passed away August 31, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born December 30, 1935 in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas the son of Faye and Goldie Robertson Major. Carl retired as a press foreman for the Rogers Daily News. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave Springs and served in the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Mae Major; one grandchild; his brother Floyd Major. He is survived by his children David Major of Rogers; Myrna Massengale and husband Robert of Ft. Myers, Florida; Karla Meeker and husband Stanley of Lowell and Steve Townzen and wife Linda of Cassville, Missouri; two sisters Wanda Baird of Sherwood, Arkansas and Donna Brannon of Midwest City, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
