Jane Anna McHenry Holmes

Jane Anna McHenry Holmes, age 83 of Malvern, died unexpectedly on September 2, 2015 in Hot Springs. She was born in Malvern on November 19, 1931 to the late Thomas E. McHenry and Jewell Miller McHenry. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, she later attended Draughon's School of Business in Little Rock. Jane Anna was a realtor, in the purest sense of the word. She began her association with Young Real Estate in 1952, and, somewhat reluctantly, retired in 2013. She probably sold more real estate in Malvern than any one person ever has. Janie was honest, forthright, and was a dear friend to many. She will be sorely missed. She was the wife of Jim Lee Holmes, to whom she was married on October 13, 1951, in the two-story house on the corner of Pine Bluff Street and Cherry Lane, by Brother Steve Thomas. Jane Anna was a member of the Church of Faith. Jane Anna leaves behind her husband, Jim, her daughter Jimmi Yarbrough and her husband, Jimmy of Malvern; a grandson, James Yarbrough, a great-grandson, Noah Yarbrough; and a sister, Martha Bell McHenry Watts of Malvern. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas E. McHenry Jr. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday morning, September 4, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Brother Scott Efird officiating.
