John Thomas Cox

John Thomas Cox, 57, of Mabelvale went to be with the Lord after a long battle with cancer on September 1, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born on August 18, 1958 to the late, John Cox and Laura Rushing in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the United State Army and was a dedicated Scimitar Shriner. John had a very loving and giving heart, he loved being a Watchdog Dad at Hill Farm, collecting tap knobs and beer steins with his kids and grandkids and going to the I-30 Speedway, and worked at the Haunted Hotel for 18 years. John is survived by his daughter, Crystal Cox; two sons, Brandon Cox (Lora) and Scott Cox (Holly); eight grandchildren, Casey, Peanut, Braydann, Destiny, Aaron, Andrew, Logan and Spencer; brother, Lloyd; two sisters; and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant. A celebration of life will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
