Lola West Cicero

Lola West Cicero, 94, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. She was born Sept. 14, 1920 in Pine Bluff, daughter of James and Vera Roebuck West. Mrs. Cicero was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School. She also attended Ouachita Baptist University. She was a loving homemaker who took amazing care of her three boys, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cicero was a member of First Baptist Church and Jefferson County Republican Committee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Joseph Cicero, Jr., whom she married Jan. 26, 1948 in Pine Bluff; her parents; and two brothers, James and Wilbur West. Survivors include her three sons: Gary West Cicero (Terri) of Pine Bluff, David Cicero (Sue) of Camden, and Larry Joe Cicero (Sally) of England; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and three nieces, Evelyn Menz, Ruth McNulty, and June Duke. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will follow the service at Robinson's.
