Neelie Dell (Ritter) Johnson

Neelie Dell (Ritter) Johnson, 93, of Paron, passed away Monday, August 31 at home with her daughter Janie by her side. Neelie was born April 26, 1922 in Paron to Samuel Newton Ritter and May Bell (Berry) Ritter. A devoted, loving wife and mother, Neelie loved to cook wonderful meals for her family and friends, always with joy and laughter. She loves God. Her beautiful, caring journey is now complete. Neelie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, George Daniel Johnson; and sisters, Tavy Adams Moore, Dotsie Mushrush and Viola Shannon. Neelie's father was a World War I Veteran, her husband a World War II Veteran. She is survived by her daughter, Janie Johnson and eight nieces and nephews. Church services by Ashby Funeral Home will be Tuesday, September 8 at 2 p.m. at North Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Paron. A reception in the church fellowship hall will follow internment at Fowler Cemetery.
