Paul Donald Dietz

CMSgt. Paul Donald Dietz, USAF (Ret.) went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 7, 2015. He was born April 30, 1931 in Quakertown, Pa. to the late Paul and Mary Dietz. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, he served in the 308th Strategic Missile Wing Squadron and was stationed throughout the United States and numerous countries. While stationed in London, England he met and married Rita E. Dietz on November 8, 1951. On January 31, 1977 he retired in Jacksonville with his family, he then worked in civil service at the VA hospital for 12 years. Mr. Dietz always had a positive and upbeat attitude throughout his illness. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita Dietz and one brother Ret. Major Harry L. Dietz. He is survived by his children, Paul Wesley Dietz and his wife Lucy, Michael Dietz and his wife Penny, Cathy Dammier and her husband George, one sister, Harriet Dietz Young, grandchildren, Lindsey Jones and her husband Kenny, Leslie Watkins and her husband Jerrod, Mari Dietz Cazares and her husband Joe, John Dietz, James Swadkins, Joey Lynch, step-grandchildren, Alexandra, Kyle and Amber, three great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Raines officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park with military honors. The family would like to thank Woodland Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation for all of the care and comfort given to Mr. Dietz.
