Ann Foerster, 93, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Trinity Village. Born Charlotte Ann Foerster in Niobrara, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Marshall Sr. She and her first husband, W.E. "Rich" Richardson, moved to Pine Bluff in 1961 and he died in 1993. In 1996 Mrs. Foerster married her high school sweetheart, Colonel Merlin W. Foerster, who died in November, 2008. She was a graduate of Niobrara High School and of Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Missouri. Mrs. Foerster was in the business world for many years in Pine Bluff, having been associated with Jefferson County Industrial Foundation, the National Center for Toxicological Research, and retired from the Ben Pearson Company. Mrs. Foerster was an active Girl Scout leader and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday School, was a choir member, Altar Guild member, president of the Episcopal Church Women and chairman of St. Mary's Guild. She was a volunteer at the Arts and Science Center for 18 years and was president of the Art Guild. She served on the board of the Pine Bluff Symphony Notables for many years and was a vice president of Jefferson County Republican Women. Along with her two husbands, she was preceded her in death by her parents; sister, Jean Koster; and brother, W.W. Marshall Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Adams of Jacksonville; son, Michael Richardson (Mary) of Jacksonville; step-daughter, Meryl Freeman (Carl) of Wilmington, North Carolina; step-son, William Foerster (Kathy) of Kingsport, Tennessee; grandson, Ryan Adams of Russellville; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church with Reverend Dr. Walter Van Zandt Windsor officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Columbarium. A reception will follow the service at Trinity Episcopal Church. Arrangements were handled by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The family will be at Mrs. Foerster's apartment at Trinity Village.
