Jackie Ruth Brittain

Jackie Ruth Brittain, 74 of Benton, passed away with her family by her side on September 22, 2015. She was born July 1, 1941 in Honobia, Oklahoma to the late Omer and Rosa Dell Bolland Harris. Jackie graduated with a B.S.E from UCA in Conway. She was an Elementary School Teacher for over 30 years. Jackie enjoyed teaching children. She taught at Harmony Grove and David O. Dodd Elementary Schools. She loved attending Soccer games with the love of her life, her only grandchild, Alex, spending time with her two daughters and her husband. She was a member of Parkview Methodist Church of Benton and enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors, husband of 49 years, William Patrick Brittain, daughters, Susan Brittain of Benton and fiance', Sherrill Thomason of Sheridan, Beverly (Christopher) New of Conway, sister, Carolyn Towell of Benton and grandson, Alex Hudson of Benton. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. on Saturday at Pinecrest Cemetery with Pastor Paul Farley officiating.
