Marita Butler

Merita Lynn Peterson Butler, age 66, of Springdale passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 in Fayetteville. She was born December 18, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to Archie and Doris Jordan Peterson. She graduated from Greenland High School in 1967 and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star #158 in Springdale. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Zora (Susie) Alaniz; two brothers, Terry Peterson and Dana Peterson. She is survived by her husband, W. Dwayne Butler; one daughter, Amanda Butler of Springdale; one son, Tully G. "Bubba" Butler and his wife Kristy of Elkins, Arkansas; step-daughter, Terri Butler of Sevierville, Tennessee; sister, Dawn Bonham of Elkins; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Monday September 28, 2015 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Moore's Chapel with burial to follow in the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
