Ted Lee Moore

Ted Lee Moore, age 71, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died September 22, 2015 in Fayetteville. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, September 29, 1943 to Wilbur L. and Myra E. Portis Moore. Ted was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Ted was preceded in death by both parents and his wife Kristine. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his daughters, Kathryn Moore of Pennsylvania, Margaret Moore of Fayetteville, Ark., Kamesha Kahn of Fayetteville, Ark., and Shelby Mainzer of Johnson, Ark., son, Karl of Massachusetts, and grandchildren, Kyra Kahn and Chris Anderson both of Springdale, Ark. Ted graduated from Covington, Tennessee High School, then Lambuth University. Ted was the science coordinator for the Pacific Rim schools. He worked in Japan, Korea, Germany, and Atlanta. He purchased an inflatable observatory, which was moved to every school. Several of Ted's science students were flown, along with Ted, to a New York Science Symposium, to receive science awards. Ted worked with students whose parents had been killed in war. Ted understood and cared. Ted spoke of the losses these children had endured, he cried. Ted was in health care at Butterfield Trail and loved to laugh with the entire staff, especially the C.N.A.s, L.P.N.s, and R.N.s. His smile shown to everyone as did his soul. Ted passed away with complications associated with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, which is a rare form of Parkinsons.
