GAIL ANNE PHILLIPS, age 78, of Jacksonville passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015. She was born April 12, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Bernard and Geneieve DeYoung. Gail was an accomplished nurse of over 49 years, She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Emergency Technician, a Registered Nurse, and maintained an Associate of Science Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Gail worked as a certified level one trauma nurse at UAMS's Emergency Department, and held several positions within Arkansas State governance as a State Health Inspector. Her life was dedicated to the service of others. Gail supported numerous charities including Special Olympics, The Omaha Boys Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Easter Seals and many others. She enjoyed a life as a serviceman's wife and proudly supported all of his endeavors serving our country. Gail was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Earl Phillips, her parents and her brother Richard DeYoung. Gail is survived by her loving daughters, Earlene Wainwright and Dawn Phillips of Cabot, sister-in-law Jane Keibler of Baltimore, Md., brother-in-law Carl Rose of Richmond, Va., grandchildren; Ben Wainwright, Parish Reed, Jess Reed, Action Jackson, one great-grandchild Payton Wainwright, her lifelong best friend Daisy Hamilton, and her cherished Stephanie Baily. A celebration of Gail's life will begin with a visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Rev.
