Peggy Jane Ritchie, 78, of Fordyce, died Saturday, Sept. 26 at St. John's Place in Fordyce after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was a member of Zeta Theta sorority and volunteered at the Dallas County Hospital gift shop. She especially loved card games and dominoes. She is survived by four brothers: Charles Ritchie of Hampton, Dale (Linda) Ritchie of Fairfield Bay, C.A. (Cathi) Ritchie of Willis, Texas, and Donnie (Debbie) Ritchie of Fordyce, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel. There will be no graveside service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fordyce or a charity of your choice. To sign the online register, visit www.bentonfuneralhome.net.
