Mary Frances Wilson Schrantz, 97, of Centerton, Ark., longtime Pine Bluff resident, died at home, Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. Born June 2, 1918 in Pine Bluff to the late Robert Lee and Sophie Richardson Wilson, she grew up in Watson Chapel, graduating from Watson Chapel High School. She married W. R. "Dub" Schrantz, Jr. in Little Rock on Dec. 24, 1938. Mr. Schrantz died in 2003. A homemaker for most of her life, as a young woman, she worked as a seamstress for Pine Bluff Casket Company. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bentonville. She was a member of Hawley United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff for many years. She sang in her church choirs for many years at Hawley and in Bentonville. Survivors include a son, Roger Schrantz (Kay) of Pine Bluff; daughter, Karen Paris (Frank) of Centerton; four grandchildren: Barbara Guin, Roger "Buddy" Schrantz, Michael Paris and Robert Paris; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Robert Bruce Wilson, died before her. Graveside services are Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff by Ralph Robinson & Son.
