Katherine Burleson

Katherine E. Burleson, 89, of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born January 22, 1926 in England, Arkansas, daughter of Earnest and Lois Barringer Eason. Mrs. Burleson was reared and received her early education in England. She worked for Simmons First National Bank for 15 years, retiring in 1991 as their collections manager. Mrs. Burleson was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Burleson; her parents; three daughters, Freda Garry, Alice Tollett and Brenda Burleson; son, Billy Burleson; five sisters, Margie Smallwood, May Hicks, Edith Burleson, Dorothy Myers and Virginia Harness; two brothers, Billy James Eason and Sonny Eason; and two grandchildren, Lisa Dehlinger and Allison Smart. Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (Teresa) Burleson of White Hall and John (Tammy) Burleson of Conway; two sisters, Juanita Busbice of Grapevine, Texas and Anna (John) Turner of Little Rock, Arkansas; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 30 at First Baptist Church of White Hall (8708 Dollarway Road, White Hall) with Dr. Bob Harper and John Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 29 from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Church of White Hall. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P.O.
