The world became a little quieter on September 24, 2015 when Brad Choate of Maumelle left us and was reunited with his friends and family in Heaven. Phillip Bradford Choate was born December 8, 1956 to Rosmyr and Tryline Choate in Weatherford, Texas. His family soon moved to the Chickalah area of Yell County. He was educated in the Dardanelle School System where he formed many special and lifelong friendships. After graduation, he attended Hendrix College where he perfected his " people skills". When he left college to enter the work force, most of those years were spent in sales of various products including real estate. His easiest sale was to the tall skinny girl who had kicked his butt playing tether ball on the playground of Dardanelle Elementary. Brad and Jennifer Walls Choate were married on November 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer and his much adored daughter, Laura K. Choate. He is also survived by his wife's children, whom he loved dearly, Erin Hunt, Alex Hunt, and his wife, Kimberly. Brad leaves a brother, Bud (Jane) Choate of Dardanelle and a sister, Lynda Terry of Little Rock and nephews, John (Debra) Choate and Lee (Christie) Terry, and nieces, Jill (Josh) Poole and Lori Terry. He is also survived by his in-laws, Jack and Joyce Walls of Atkins. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st from 6-7 p.m. at the First Church United Methodist of Maumelle with a Memorial service to follow at 7 p.m. A second Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd at 1 p.m. at the Chickalah United Methodist Church on Highway 27 in Dardanelle, Arkansas. Brad was one of the kindest, most generous people that most of us have known and Jennifer hopes that each of his friends will perform a random act of kindness in his memory. Services entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. Guests may register at www.arcremation.com.
