Desiree "Dez" Bailey (Swift) died unexpectedly in Kingwood, Texas on April 3rd, 2016 at the age of 43. Desiree was born on November 14 1972 and is survived by her mother, Janice Swift of Lowell, Ark.; husband, Kevin Bailey; children, Alexandria and Nicholas Bailey of Texas; brother, Lance (Teresa) Swift; sister, Tammy Kouba; aunts, Clela (John) Burleson and Shirley (Scoop) Stephens; nephew, Justin Kouba and son, Jayce Kouba; niece, Jordan Williams; cousin, Lisa Hash; and childhood best friend forever, Mendy West, of Northwest Arkansas. Relatives out of state, include aunt, Wanda Swift; uncle, Harold (Gayle) Swift; and cousins, Kevin and Gary Swift of California. She is preceded in death by father, John Swift of Lowell, Ark.; uncles, Arthur Cain and Jesse Swift; and aunt, Zandra Parson. Desiree graduated from Springdale High School in 1991, was president of M.A.D.D. her senior year, and attended Tulsa Junior College. She married her high school sweetheart, Kevin, in Northwest Arkansas on March 12, 1994, and lived in Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas together. First and foremost, Desiree was a supportive wife and loving mother. Her children remember her as a comforting and ‘best friend' mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. The family will receive friends from 12 noon till service time at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2015 at the Chapel of Nelson Berna. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with burial in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
