On Sunday, March 27, 2016 Mary E. Bussell, born Guadalupe M. Espindola, passed away peacefully after an aggressive illness surrounded by her loving family and friends. She is survived by five children, Marie, Otho, John, Mamie, and Vinnie; 14 grandchildren, Jean, Michael, Peter, Paul, Jo Marie, Terry (Boogie), Robyn, Mike, Myra, Fe, Alicia, Cynthia, Michelle (Spiffy), Jessica; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandbaby, and many many more family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Bussell; her firstborn, Ruthie; and her son, Buddy Ottwell. Mary was born in Harlingen, Texas, on march 3, 1927 and spent 20 years of her life living on the King Ranch in Texas. Mary moved to West Texas and settled in the Lubbock, Texas area, raised her children and attended Highland Baptist Church, she was in The Eastern Star, Lubbock Business Women Association of Texas, she was a Lifetime Member of the American Legion, she owned her own business then she was a Foster Parent to several children, she then took care of several elderly people in her home. Mary was devoted to her baptist faith and later, when she relocated to Arkansas, she attended Geyer Springs Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at Geyer Springs Baptist Church on April 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to UAMS Cancer Research in Mary's name.
