R. L. Sheffield, 86, of Batesville died Thursday. He was a past Grand Master of Masons in Arkansas having served in 2007. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorothea Wyatt Sheffield of Batesville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Richard Painter of Madison, Miss.; sister, Bernice Sheffield Woods, of Santa Monica, Calif.; niece, Nancy Baxter of Batesville; grandchildren, Brandie (Brad) Lieblong of Jonesboro, Elizabeth (Russell) Atkinson of Daphne, Ala.; and great-grandchildren, Emma Atkinson, Tyson Lieblong and Ally Atkinson Service: 1 p.m., Tues., Central Avenue United Methodist Church, Batesville.
