Cora Ellen Guess

Cora Ellen Guess, 83, of Cabot, died Sunday, April 10, 2016. She was born March 26, 1933 to the late Robert Davidson and Katie Baker. She loved the Lord, and was a member of Harvest Praise Church, where she served as treasurer for many years. In her spare time, Cora was a bargain hunting queen, and she loved yard sales. She enjoyed her family and was known for making the best chocolate pancakes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Dean, stepfather, Oscar Dean, father, Robert Davidson, and her son, Jim Guess. She is survived by her children, Glenda Pouncey (Roger), Gary Guess (Sherry), and Janet Pierce (Mike); siblings, Bobbie Stanley, Leland Davidson, Marcine Stutzman (Doug), Dale Dean (Esther), Phyllis Dean, Mike Dean, and Sharon McQuaid (Tim); grandchildren, David Guess (Jan), Shannon Baker (Drew), Emily Norton, Jerry Norton (Denise), Jason Guess (Christine), Amanda Martin, and Brittany Pierce; step-grandchildren, Laura, Christy, and Carrie; great grandchildren, Justin Guess, Jenna Guess, A.J. Baker, Jaqueline Terry, Jacob Vaught, Olivia Guess, and Alexis Pierce, great-great-granddaughter, Amelia Guess, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, April 16th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
