Stanley Edward Berg

Stanley Edward Berg passed away April 10, 2016 at the age of 48. The world changed for the better July 16, 1967 when Carl Berg and Carol Coe welcomed a new baby boy into their home. For the last 48 years he has created a legacy of love and care, and impacted all who had the privilege of knowing him. He loved cooking and was faithful to visit elderly veterans, showing his deep appreciation for their service to this country. His world lit up every time he saw his precious grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his aunt, Judy Jenkins and nephew, Eddie Westbrook. Loving survivors include his parents; wife, Brenda Berg; daughters, Michelle Berg (Brandon Leeper), Stephanie Berg (Kinston Walker), and Joni Berg; brothers, Steven Berg (Lesley) and Jeffrey Berg; and sister, Joni Westbrook (Sean). He was proudly called Papaw by Jacob, Elexa, and Kynli Berg, and KJ Walker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. A service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday with Bro. Kelly Morgan officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Tonashae Echols (Tyler), Sara Wilhite (Eric), James Heritage, Josh Barnes, Jordan Lormor (David), Ashley Berg, and Steven Berg. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
