Mrs. Palestine Cuningkin, 89, of Benton, Arkansas transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on April 6, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 14, 1926 to the late Curlee and Vergie Butler in Sparkman, Arkansas. Miss Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Moses Lee Cuningkin, Sr., two brothers, Lee Drew Butler Sr, and Eddie Lee Butler and one sister, Erma Jean Thomas. Miss Pat leaves to cherish her memories, Two sons: Moses Lee Cuningkin, Little Rock, AR, Dannie L. (Veniene) Cuningkin, Sr, Benton, AR. Five daughters: Vergie Lee Ford, Benton, Ark., Clara Lee (Doyle) Moore, Yvonne Cuningkin, Twala (Robert) Daley all of Little Rock, Ark. and Toni Lynn Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Willene (Chester) Guydon of Lawton, Okla.; sister-in-law: Mary Butler of Columbus, Georgia; 30 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. today at Elect Temple Church of God In Christ in Benton, Arkansas. The body will lie in state from 10:15 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery by Christian Way Funeral Home Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
