Mary Frank Carlisle, age 87, of Jacksonville, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was born on August 29, 1928 to the late Ernest and Mary Coppock in Saline County (Shaw, Ark.). She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold Carlisle, six brothers, Raymond, Gleason, Conrad, Garnal, Gyle and Ruil Coppock. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jacksonville. She was an active member in the Upper Room Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women, Mary Martha Circle and the Young at Heart. Mary was active in the North Metro Hospital Auxiliary and Woodland Hills Nursing Home. She was a member of the Ladies Bridge Club for 30 years with some of the women that started the club. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by one son, Harold Phillip Carlisle and his wife Karen, one granddaughter, Taylor McGrew and her husband Evan, two great-grandsons Hatcher and Jet McGrew all of Jacksonville, one twin brother, Merriet Bryan Coppock and his wife Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville with Rev. Charles Watt officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull, Ark. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. The family requests in lieu of flowers that you take time to call your family, and loved ones and tell them that you love them.
