Max White Harris

Max White Harris, 85, a long time resident of Little Rock died April 13, 2016. He was the son of B.T. and Floyd Rhea Harris. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where he served on their school board and was a member of the vestry. Max graduated from Woodward Military Academy in Atlanta, and went to Hendrix College. He graduated from The University of Tulsa with a business degree and received his master's degree in world history from Columbia University. He was a longtime member of The Country Club of Little Rock, an avid art collector, and enjoyed traveling the world. Survivors include his wife, Susan C. Howell Harris, one daughter, Dr. Elizabeth Rhea Harris (Dr. Jonathan Ross), one son, Bolton T. Harris (Paul Breen), three grandchildren, Samuel, Riley, and Dylan Ross. Max is also survived by three stepchildren, Mark C. Howell, M. Susan Howell and James Lee Howell Jr. (Carolyn), and nine ste- grandchildren, Kristin and Lily Howell, Helena, Hunter and Christian Howell, Devon and Katie Howell, and James Lee III and Juliet Howell. He was predeceased by his wife, Anita Ballenger Harris and a stepson, H. Timothy Howell. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Treadway Garden at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 17th and Spring Street. A reception will follow in Morrison Hall.
