Bette Rose Whittle (Woodring) Smith

Bette Rose Whittle (Woodring) Smith of Tucson, Arizona passed away on March 30, 2016. She was born Jan. 18, 1939 in Cushing, Okla. to Henry and Nina Whittle. She lived most of her life in Springdale, Ark. She moved to Tucson, Ariz. in 2001. Bette was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rufus Smith; her daughter Sheila Elaine (Woodring) Franklin; her siblings Tommy Whittle, Milo Whittle, Susie Owen, Evelyn Todd, and Verna Graham; nephews Ronald Graham, Brian Todd, David Graham and Glen Galloway; niece Sherry Hollingsworth; great nephew Jared Galloway; and Bette's and Rufus's dog Annie. Bette is survived by her son Darrin Woodring and his spouse Jesus Alberto Velarde and their children Michael and Gina. They all currently live in Tucson, Ariz. Bette is also survived by: Daisy Couch and Jimmy Whittle in Springdale, Ark. Bill, Cassie, Catherine and Hannah Franklin in Farmington, Ark.; stepson, Rufus Smith, Jr. and his wife Lana in California. And other many family members, nieces and nephews; and close friends in Springdale, Ark., and Tucson, Ariz.
