Haston Grady Story, 90, of Floyd, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord April 17, 2016. Haston was a lifelong member of the Floyd Assembly of God where he served as Trustee and was a former Sunday school teacher for many years. He served in the U.S. Marines and was a highly decorated veteran of WWII, including a Purple Heart, a Gold Star, and a Bronze Star. Haston retired from AMF Bicycle Plant and Club Aluminum. He was a current cattleman and rancher. He is survived by the mother of his children, Betty (Story) Birch; his children, Diannia (Robert) Crum of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Debi (Michael) Maddox of Palmer Lake, Colorado, Ronnie (Sissy) Story of Romance, and Randall (Melinda) Story of Judsonia; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Vachy Story; one son, Redginald Story; two brothers, Harston and Murl Story; and one granddaughter, Rachel Maddox. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at Floyd Assembly of God, with burial in Old Floyd Cemetery.
