Kenneth Raymond Ivey

Kenneth Raymond Ivey, age 92, of Fayetteville, died Monday, April 18, 2016 in Fayetteville. He was born January 19, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Garland and Bernice Millikin Ivey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean Ivey and a daughter, Kathy Gibbs. He was retired from the United States Army where he served his country for 24 years, including combat tours in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. On return to Fayetteville he worked for McClinton Anchor Construction for 18 years. He is survived by a daughter, Connie Hayes of Fayetteville; a son, Ken Ivey, Jr. and his wife Paula of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren, Sharon Dimacelli, Rachael Anderson, Les Gibbs, Joseph Ivey, Shane Hall, Suedee Elkins, Jon Harper, Charlie Harper and Heather Hayes and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday at Moore's Chapel followed by burial at Oakland Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
