Gaston Lee (Rockey) Adcock, 82, of Bauxite went to be with his Savior on April 17, 2016. He was born March 24, 1934 to Austin and Thora Adcock in Hosston, Louisiana. He was retired from United States Marine Corps in 1974 with 22 years' service where he proudly served his country in both the Korean War, Vietnam War and in Lebanon. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. He was preceded by his parents and five brothers; Melborn Adcock, Melvin Adcock, Raymond Adcock, Leonard Adcock, and James Harold Adcock; two sisters, Mattie Whitley and Edith Bearden. He will forever be remembered by surviving loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Adcock; his daughter, Roxanne Adcock of Dallas, Texas; step-children, Jeff Borders (Adele) of Fishers, Ind., Jo Ann Heinz (Ron) of Alexander, Ark., and Janet Borders of Bryant, Ark.; beloved Papaw to Robert Heinz, John Heinz, Logan Borders and Alexa Borders; along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. He was a member of Life Line Baptist Church where he was actively involved. Rocky touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception visitation from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, a certified Veterans Funeral Care Provider.
