Margaret Lavonne Halbrook

Margaret Lavonne Halbrook Flory, 74, of Morrilton, Arkansas, was born August 8, 1941 in Morrilton, Arkansas. Her parents were Opie and Addie Mae Halbrook. She departed this life on April 19, 2016, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lavonne was a member of Cleveland Methodist Church. She graduated high school from Wonderview High School and from Cosmetology School in Morrilton, Arkansas. Lavonne retired from the South Conway County School District after serving many years as a paraprofessional. She enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters, Shelby and Callie. They were very special to her. Lavonne enjoyed quilting, crocheting and doing flower arrangements. She also loved to listen to her husband, sons, and granddaughters play bluegrass music. This was something they all enjoyed doing together. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 54 years, Gary; two sons: Tim (Teresa) Flory of Morrilton, Arkansas; Steve (Marr-Lynn) Flory of Winslow, Arkansas; two granddaughters: Shelby Flory and Callie Flory of Morrilton, Arkansas; two brothers: Joe Halbrook and Terry Halbrook both of Morrilton, Arkansas; lots of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Larry Dale Halbrook and Gary Lynn Halbrook. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Harris Chapel with Dr. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Old Liberty Cemetery near Cleveland, Arkansas. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Les Halbrook, Wes Halbrook, Shawn Halbrook, Buddy Hofherr, John Love, and Daniel Hickey.
